Frequently Asked Questions @ LevelOne Racing, Limited.

Q: Is there a performance difference between the two.six.zero and the three.three.zero exhaust canisters?
A: All of our "Race" systems have an internal core of 57.15mm (2.25"). They all flow extremely well and performance is very close. You may see a very small difference based on engine size and other modifications that have been performed on your bike based on the different canister lengths.

Q: Does the length of the exhaust affect the sound?
A: Absolutely, as with any exhaust system, the smaller the exhaust, the louder it will be.

Q: What is the difference in sound between a two.six.zero and three.three.zero?
A: If you are concerned about sound levels the three.three.zero is recommended. The two.two.zero will idle with a very deep low sound which increases throughout the rpm band. Unless your sportbike has something similar to the Suzuki Exhaust Tuning [SET] butterfly valve installed, (which helps with the deep idle noise and lower rpm sound levels), the exhaust sound level will be elevated. Another method two help with the elevated sound of the two.two.zero is the LOR dbKiller. The dbKiller helps tremendously with the lower rpm sound levels.

Q: What decibel level are the exhaust systems?
A: On a 2005 GSXR600 (330mm 6061) canister the sound pressure was measured at 103-104 dbA. This measurement was taken at the industry standard at 20" away at a 45 degree angle of the exhaust outlet. The bike is then run at 6000rpm and the measurement is taken.

Q: What is a dbKiller and what does it do?
A: LevelOne dbKillers help decrease the sound level of our exhaust systems. A dbKiller can be installed in any LOR Exhaust system by simply drilling a small hole on the bottom of the outlet and fastening the dbkiller. This process takes seconds to install and can be removed at any time. The dbKiller also improves torque along with the reduction in sound level.

Q: What does your exhaust sound like?
A: Sound is very subjective, however, LevelOne exhaust systems have a unique sound. They are very deep and pretty much cancel out the harsh high frequency whine that can be heard on many other systems. Our note is aggressive and race inspired.

Q: What materials are used in your exhaust systems?
A: The systems are 100% stainless steel - (ASTM-A249) and high grade aluminum. We use lightweight 304 stainless Endcaps and inlets and our bolt-on systems utilize CNC'd 6061 T6 aluminum. All of the hardware used is stainless steel. We have two different types of outer shells, 6061 T6 Aluminum and Carbon Fiber. The 6061 Shells are high temperature powder coated finishes, enabling a long lasting tough finish. The Carbon Fiber tubes are 100% High Quality Carbon Fiber with the natural wrapped Race Finish. There is no added Shiney Varnish to our Carbon Fiber. Our densly packed sound absorbtion materials are rated for extreme high temperatures and hold unique sound cancellation qualities.

Q: Where are your systems made?
A: All of our systems are hand-crafted in the USA, we have two locations in New Lenox, IL.

Q: What type of finish do your stainless steel endcaps and mid-pipes have?
A: LevelOne Racing, Ltd. used a custom mixture of blast material to give our exhausts a satin smooth natural appearance. The exhaust hangers, endcaps, mid-pipes and even are fasteners are all painstakingly finished.

Q: How can I buy a system direct?
A: Our Main distributor in the USA is The SportBike Shop, LLC.

Q: Do you make custom exhausts?
A: Yes, we do quite a few custom exhausts for race bikes, etc. If you have an existing aftermarket system or modified system, etc. we can fit your header/midpipe with our exhaust. You need to provide us with your connecting pipe OD and we will custom fit the exhaust. It will include a low profile bolt clamp, exhaust hanger, hanger rubber gasket, spacer kit and connecting hardware.
